This was the first sixpence telegram sent from Brecon, by the Mayoress of Brecon, Gertrude Lewis, to Edward, Prince of Wales, as part of King George V's Silver Jubilee celebrations. A new rate of nine words per sixpence was introduced for this 1935 event. The Prince of Wales replied the same day. Hwn oedd y telegram chwe cheiniog cyntaf i gael ei yrru o Aberhonddu, gan Faeres Aberhonddu, Gertrude Lewis, at Edward, Tywysog Cymru, fel rhan o ddathliadau JiwbilÓ y Brenin George V. Cyflwynwyd cyfradd newydd o 9 gair am chwe cheiniog ar gyfer yr achlysur yma yn 1935. Derbyniodd y Faeres ateb Tywysog Cymru yr un diwrnod.
