This small stained-ash bier, probably 19th century, was used for carrying the coffin of a child to the church for a funeral service and to the churchyard for burial. It would be handled by four people. In the 1890s, death in childhood amounted to 150 deaths per 1,000 births. Defnyddiwyd yr elor fach hon o goed ynn wedi’u staenio, sy’n dyddio’n ôl pob tebyg o'r 19eg ganrif, i gario arch plentyn i'r eglwys ar gyfer gwasanaeth angladd ac i'r fynwent i'w gladdu. Byddai wedi cael ei chario gan bedwar o bobl. Yn yr 1890au, roedd marwolaeth yn ystod plentyndod yn cyfrif am 150 o farwolaethau am bob 1,000 o enedigaethau.
