K. D. Pringle was senior surgeon at Brecon War Memorial Hospital, which opened in 1928. He was also a leading member of the Brecknock Society, editor of the 1930 edition of the History of Brecknockshire, a writer of articles on early Welsh history and a founder of the first Brecknock Museum.
