Page from the pocket diary of William Weale, which includes a daily commentary on the weather, 1944. William's diaries provide a picture of life in rural Radnorshire in the 1940s. War news is often included. From the middle of 1945 they are written in Italian, which William learned from Prisoners of War who came to work at Holly Farm.
