Photograph of Llanidloes, Cripplegate. Cripplegate is one of the oldest streets in Llanidloes. It leads to a gate in the wall of the churchyard of the parish church of St. Idloes, and the name supposedly derives from griddlegate, or irongate. Now called Church Street. The scene shows two older gentleman, one is pushing a cart with two young boys. Ffotograff o Lanidloes, Cripplegate. Cripplegate yw un o strydoedd hynaf Llanidloes. Mae’n arwain at borth ym mur mynwent eglwys blwyf St. Idloes, a thybir bod yr enw yn deillio o’r geiriau griddlegate, neu irongate. Gelwir y stryd bellach yn Stryd yr Eglwys. Mae’r olygfa’n dangos dau ŵr bonheddig hŷn, mae un yn gwthio car gyda dau fachgen ifanc.
