Roman gold ring with dark blue intaglio portraying a standing man, probably Mercury. He is holding a caduceus – a staff with two snakes winding around it – and a money-bag. 3rd century AD, found near Newtown. Modrwy aur Rufeinig gyda ‘cheugerfiad’ glas tywyll yn dangos dyn yn sefyll, y duw Mercher mae’n debyg. Mae’n gafael mewn ffon sarffog – ffon a dwy neidr yn ymgordeddu o’i chwmpas – a chwdyn arian. 3edd ganrif OC, wedi’i darganfod ger y Drenewydd.
