Cauldrons feature prominently in the folklore of Wales. This historical example is a copper-alloy tripod cauldron that would have been used to cook over an open fire. It dates to the Medieval period and was found near a spring in the area of Pontywal and LLyswen. Mae gan grochanau le blaenllaw yn llên gwerin Cymru. Mae’r enghraifft hanesyddol hon yn grochan trithroed aloi copr a fyddai wedi ei ddefnyddio i goginio ar ben tân. Mae’n dyddio o’r cyfnod Canoloesol a chafwyd hyd iddo ger ffynnon yn ardal Pontywal a Llys-wen.
