Stay busks formed the central part of a corset. As they were set close to the wearer’s heart, they were often inscribed with messages and symbols of love. They could be made from whalebone, wood or bone. This one is made from ash and inscribed with hearts and flowers. Roedd pren staes yn ffurfio rhan ganolog y staes. Am eu bod wedi eu gosod yn agos at galon y gwisgwr, roedd neges neu symbol o gariad yn aml wedi ei arsgrifio arnynt. Roeddent o wneuthuriad esgyrn morfil neu bren neu asgwrn. Mae'r un yma wedi ei wneud o onnen gyda chalonnau a blodau arysgrifedig.
