Lovespoon Llwy Garu

Lovespoon of pear wood, with a neatly shaped panel handle, the forward curve of which is thought to indicate a North Wales origin. Geometric and heart designs have been pierced in the panel, which is connected to the bowl by a slotted and pillared stem. The flat tip of the bowl was probably designed to enable the spoon to stand upright on a shelf. Llwy garu o bren gellyg, gyda handlen banel gyda siâp taclus, y credir bod ei gromlin tuag ymlaen yn arwydd ei bod wedi tarddu o Ogledd Cymru. Mae dyluniadau geometrig a rhai siâp calon wedi cael eu tyllu yn y panel, sydd wedi'u cysylltu â'r bowlen gan goesyn sy’n cynnwys holltau a phileri. Mae'n debyg bod blaen fflat y bowlen wedi'i chynllunio i alluogi'r llwy i sefyll yn unionsyth ar silff.
