Collecting insects, especially butterflies and moths, has long been fashionable among amateur naturalists. On the left are varieties of Burnets, but the most dramatic are the central column of four Death’s-head hawkmoths. Some of the other varieties of hawkmoth included here are the Eyed, Poplar, Lime, Convolvulus, Privet, Spurge, Bedstraw, Elephant, and Hummingbird moth. Mae casglu pryfed, yn enwedig glöynnod byw a gwyfynod wedi bod yn ffasiynol ers amser maith ymysg naturiolwyr amatur. Ar y chwith ceir mathau o wyfynod bwrned. Ond y golofn ganolog o bedwar Walchwyfyn y Benglog yw’r rhai mwyaf trawiadol. Rhai o’r amrywiadau eraill a geir yma yw’r Gwalchwyfyn Llygadog, Gwalchwyfyn y Poplys, Gwalchwyfyn y Pisgwydd, Gwalchwyfyn y Taglys, Gwalchwyfyn yr Yswydd, Gwalchwyfyn y Fflamgoed, Gwalchwyfyn y Friwydd, Gwalchwyfyn yr Helyglys a’r Gwalchwyfyn Hofran.
