Agricultural smocks were most common in eastern parts of Wales in the 19th century. Smocks were usually made at home by the mother or wife of the wearer. This fine Brecknockshire example is made of unbleached linen and embroidered in a double linen thread, with designs in chain and lattice stitch. Roedd smociau amaethyddol yn cael eu gwisgo fwyaf yn nwyrain Cymru yn y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg. Roedd smoc yn cael ei gwneud gartref gan fam neu wraig yr un oedd yn ei gwisgo. Mae’r enghraifft wych hon o Sir Frycheiniog wedi’i gwneud o liain heb ei gwynnu. Mae wedi’i brodio mewn edau lin ddwbl, gyda phatrymau mewn pwythi cadwyn a phwythi dellt.
