Cardboard model of the stagecoach which ran between Brecon and Builth Wells. Stagecoaches first appeared on Welsh roads in the early 16th century, but by about 1800 major English and Welsh towns had been linked by Royal Mail stagecoach services. It was called a stagecoach because it travelled in ‘stages’ of 10-15 miles. Model cardbord o'r goets fawr a oedd yn teithio rhwng Aberhonddu a Llanfair-ym-Muallt yw hwn. Ymddangosodd y goets fawr am y tro cyntaf ar ffyrdd Cymru yn gynnar yn yr 16eg ganrif, ond erbyn tua 1800 roedd prif drefi Cymru a Lloegr wedi cael eu cysylltu gan wasanaethau coets fawr y Post Brenhinol. Fe'i gelwid yn stagecoach yn Saesneg oherwydd ei bod yn teithio mewn 'camau' o 10-15 milltir ar y tro.
