Evan Evans, a blacksmith from Brecon, was the owner of this conductor’s baton. He was for many years the Musical Director for the Plough Chapel and competed three times at the National Eisteddfod. The baton, in ebony and silver, was “Presented to Evan Evans by the Parents and Friends of the Children of the Brychan Juvenile Choir, August 1924.” Evan Evans, gof o Aberhonddu, oedd perchennog y baton arweinydd hwn. Roedd yn Gyfarwyddwr Cerdd yn Plough Chapel am flynyddoedd lawer a chystadlodd deirgwaith yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol. “Cyflwynwyd i Evan Evans gan Rieni a Chyfeillion Plant Côr Ieuenctid Brychan, Awst 1924.”
