This bardic chair was awarded to R. J. Stevens of Builth Wells at the Aberhonddu (Brecon) Eisteddfod in 1928. Stevens was born in 1897 in Llanelwedd, Radnorshire. He is listed as one of 100 men recruited in September 1914 to join the Radnorshire section of the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Dyfarnwyd y gadair farddol hon i R.J. Stevens o Lanfair-ym-Muallt yn Eisteddfod Aberhonddu ym 1928. Ganed Stevens ym 1897 yn Llanelwedd, Sir Faesyfed. Fe’i rhestrwyd yn un o gant o ddynion a listiwyd ym mis Medi 1914 i ymuno ag adran Sir Faesyfed Troedfilwyr Ysgafn Swydd Amwythig y Brenin.
