This 19th century winnowing machine was used at Cwrt-y-Prior, Llan-gors. The corn was fed in at the top and the chaff and grain were separated from the straw by being crushed between static and revolving drums inside. It was originally hand-powered but was converted for use with an engine. Defnyddid y peiriant nithio hwn o’r 19eg Ganrif yng Nghwrt-y-Prior, Llan-gors. Roedd yr ŷd yn cael ei fwydo i mewn i ben y peiriant. Roedd y manus a’r grawn yn cael eu nithio oddi wrth y gwellt trwy gael eu gwasgu rhwng drymiau statig a rhai’n troi y tu fewn. Yn wreiddiol roedd yn cael ei yrru trwy law ond cafodd ei newid i’w ddefnyddio ag injan.
