This oil lamp fitted into the head of a railway signal. Inscribed on the filter cap is 'GWR' (Great Western Railway) which had taken over the smaller railway companies that operated in South and Mid Wales. Byddaiír lamp olew hwn yn cael ei osod ar ben signal rheilffordd. Ar gaead y ffilter mae GWR, sy'n sefyll ar gyfer Great Western Railways a oedd prynuír cwmnÔau rheilffordd llai a oedd yn gweithredu yn Ne a Chanolbarth Cymru.
