Invitation to the Official Opening Luncheon of Gurnos Works by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rt. Hon. Hugh Dalton, held at The Anglo-Celtic Watch Co. Ltd., Ystradgynlais, March 15th, 1947. Employing 1,500 people from 1946 to 1980. Owned by Smith’s and Ingersoll, U.S.A. Makers of all types of watches. They produced and exported 30,000,000 watches to 63 countries around the world. Both factories were known as the ‘Tick-Tock’. Gwahoddiad i Ginio Agoriadol Swyddogol Gwaith Gurnos Works dydd Sadwrn, 15 Mawrth, 1947 gan Ganghellor y Trysorlys, y Gwir Anrhydeddus Hugh Dalton, A.S. Ffatri Rhif 1, Anglo-Celtic-Watch Co Ltd, Ystradgynlais. Yn cyflogi 1,500 o bobl rhwng 1946 a 1980. Y perchnogion oedd Smith’s ac Ingersoll U.S.A., Gwneuthurwyr bob math o watsys. Cafodd rhyw 30,000,000 o’r watsys a wnaed yno eu hallforio I 63 o wledydd ledled y byd. Y ‘Tic Toc’ oedd yr new ar y ddwy ffatri.
